I've got an ASUS TV tuner card, and I want to capture from cable TV and burn to VCD or SVCD.
Problem is, Virtually Dub only lets me capture resolution 320 X 280, which sux.
Any ideas on good TV capture software?

Have you tried the CyberEPG feature.
Theres a patch http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/download/patches.jsp?ProdName=PowerVCR%20II&ProdId=20
Tried it for the first time the other night worked fine, but have not tried it for mutiple programs yet.
Does PowerVCR let you watch TV or just record it? The software that comes with my Pinnacle PCTV Pro sucks ass for watchign tv :(

I'm no expert, but you can view and record with PowerVCR. However, it has limited recording features, and I can't seem to get the resulting MPGs to open in any editing program like TMPGENC or Virtual Dub. Power Direct Pro, which comes with the ASUS, is a horrible editing IMO.
Anway, I tried AVI_IO to capture (execellent capture software), and I can't capture in any resolution except for 320 X 280. So it's not the software, could be the driver. I have the most updated driver from ASUS, however, so bloody hell this sucks. Anyone have any ideas before I post this in the Hardware forum??

You can watch TV with PowerVcr.
Download a trial here http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/download/dl_file_new.jsp?dl_id=40&ProdId=20
Found this useful info on www.dvdrhelp.com about regedit to increase file size and capture size. Use at your own risk I haven't tried myself yet.
More usefull info on the asus card
