Dang this summer went by quick... I just found out that my monster starts school on MONDAY>>>>>>>>>>>>> EEEEKKKKK... I haven't went shopping or anything..... It seems like they are cutting the summers shorter and shorter... had to vent ;)

We start Tuesday. Thankfully, my girl got enough clothes for her birthday that we didn't need to shop.

I thought they usually send something in the mail... but I never recieved anything... My daughter's bday is Sept 4th...so the good thing is that in a couple of weeks hopefully she will get some MORE new clothes

Went to school today and found out the teachers and met them etc. Clark Co. supplies all the paper, pencils and such so that isn't a worry. They ask for ziplock bags, hand sanitizer and kleenex for the rooms here among a few other things


We are shopping tomorrow. I have picked up a few things, clothing, shoes, but mom sent money she had planned to spend on them shopping for them to go on so here I go again. I can complain about that woman a lot, but she is a saint sometimes :)

That's how the elementary schools here work too. It's so nice to just have to buy a backpack and a box of tissues!

You guys are lucky! Josh starts school Tuesday. Here is his list of school supplies we had to buy:

2 boxes of 8 Crayola crayons
3 black paper mate felt tip markers
1 pair of Fiskars scissors
1 Prang watercolor set
1 medium bottle of white glue & 2 glue sticks
1 small container of playdoh (Mind you, they don't SELL them by 1 container. We had to buy a set and keep the others. Ok, *we* didn't. :D My mom did...)
1 large box of kleenex
1 large backpack
2 dry erase markers (expo scents)
3 #2 pencils
boys bring baby wipes and girls bring clorox wipes

Luckily, my mom bought all but the baby wipes and sent them to us. :) Then we bought the backpack, so... :)

Whoa Jenny, that is a lot of stuff...Today my monster started her first day... Man she grew up too soon :bawl: She looked so cute.. but I'm pretty sure they will send a list of things she will need... Sometimes I wonder, how she will be when she gets older.. :amidala:
