I won that nokia moniter and it has a wierd color thing happening. the far right is a little bluer than the middle and the far left is a little pinker than the middle. I have a matrox millenium card (first version) What to do? Or is this normal.

Try degaussing the monitor and making sure the connectors on your cable to the monitor are all good. If still monitor ales ya, give apex hell http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif. . . hehe j/k.

Tried the above except the video card. My housemate has one, tip toe in there when he's not home.

I called the Nokia and they want a receipt. The box has at least three addreses on it from where it came and went with RA numbers etc. No one ever sent it back to Nokia or ViewSonic as it would be (viewsonic bought Nokia displays) I think I can live with the faint blue tinge, (only visible on a white screen) but I am going to try the BNC cable route when I get the cables.

I also will be making a new computer and I have a G400 Max to plug into it(I know its no Gforce2 or what ever, but I won it too http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ) I have no AGP slot and am waiting for cash to buy new stuff.

The Adadge (addage) you get what you pay for would seem to hold true here. I am beleive that the moniter was bought off of Ubid for 600+ bucks. I omagine someone RA'd it to some company that realized they couldnt resell it again, and got rid of all of them.

The blue tinge is stronger than the pink (which I can ignore) maybe if I degaus it once a day it will eventually go away?

Also, do you have any products near by (withing 1-3 feet) that are producing a strong emf? Such as speakers, tv, receiver and other audio/video equipment. . . or maybe even a magnet?

I have fiddled with every possible convergence, sizing, refresh rate, degausing, took my speakers off the desk completely, Nothing changes the colors. I talked to the Nokia service people again, and they said of the BNC cable option doesn't clear it up, then I can take in to the warrenty place in Dallas, where my parents live. Two birds, one stone.
