I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, so hopefully there is something I can do that I haven't found on another BB, site, etc. to fix this problem I have.

I have

MB:
MSI K7Pro (MS-6195)

North Bridge=AMD Irongate
South Bridge=AMD 756 (Viper)

one AGP 1x,2x slot/port/whatever

SDRAM:
cheap PNY stick of 128 MB PC100 RAM

CPU:
K7 Slot A @750Mhz

no overclocking anywhere

Power:
Antec 300w power supply

G Card:
Creative's Annhilator Pro (GeForce2, 32MB)

The problem is that I cannot play any freaking games unless I am using the AGP 1x mode, and even then I get some flashing textures and graphics thrashing.

I've had this problem with other cards with this system before, even with and Asus K7M MB.

I saw on some other board that the Irongate chipset is not compatible or something with the GeForce2 GPU's some thingy or other.

Is there anything I can do so I can play games again? I've already bought/ordered ANOTHER new motherboard -- a Tyan Trinity K7 that will be using the new chipset -- kx or whatever the hell 133 -- does the new chipset address this issue, or what am I doing wrong?????????????????????

If someone could help me out, I would really appreciate it. I am getting sick of dumping money into this pile of crap with no improved results.

If someone can help me, just ask for any other info you need to know about my system and I'll give it to you.

Thanks

BANG! Hehe, sorry. Hmmm is the video card jumpers set for agp 2x or whatever setting? Check that out. Also about the flickering. . . could be the drivers. What are you using? I highly recommend using Nvidia's drivers, the tnt drivers are the best for any nvidia chipset based video card. I believe 5.22 is the newest version. You can get it at www.nvidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com)
