This morning when I checked my email there was a response to a resume I had sent to a local firm telling me to call in to schedule an interview! For whatever reasons most firms havent been taking anyone (that I know of) for interviews...so this is a very good thing. I really need to nail it, because I need a damn job. I have sent out so many resumes and most go unanswered. I hope the old addage, when it rains, it pours somes true because I need a job badly. Especially since my wedding is in 6 months and we need both of us to pay for it.

hey ufcrusher
what kind of law do you want to practice?
Worker's Comp? Regular Superior, business, tax? Or are you just trying anything?
(i'm asking because depending on what field you start working you, you might start working with the company i am currently employed at :) )

I was most interested in intellectual property in law school...unfortunately, I dont have a EE, BE, CE, or hard science degree. At this point I am willing to do almost anything. I say almost because I am sure that there could be something I would not want to do.

Tuning up my segway as we speak! j/k No, I could never be an ambulance chaser.....its against the rules of professional responsibility here. But I could do the PI which is the same thing without the chasing. :)

Well I had the interview. I dont know how it went, I can never really gauge these things because I always think I blew it, even when I didnt. The guy who interviewed me was smiling the entire time and basically just talked about the firm. He said that he will probably be making a decision within the month. Now the waiting begins.
As a side note, I couldnt take my pain medicine because I wanted to be lucid for the interview. So my ankle was killing me all day long. Not fun.

So I was supposed to have another interview today....which got postponed until tomorrow yesterday due to a emergency business meeting...which just got postponed until after this trial that just came up is concluded today. Confused? All I can do is scream.
Plus, I am annoyed because I could have gone up with my fiance to LA for the week but stayed down here in SD because of the interview which isnt happening. Damn them.
