Can't Defrag

I can't defrag anymore...I start the program from windows and it just sits at 0% not moving at all....What is going on?

Any suggestions welcome.

hmm is the animation moving?
if frozen: I get that problem once in a while just reboot and try agian
moving:n9ot sure then maybe scandisk part is crashing. try scandisk manually and disable scandisk at start of defrag segment

its definiatly not frozen because I see some animation. And it does stop at the "scanning disk for errors" stage so maybe I'll turn off the scandisk part...I can always run scandisk manually and there are no problems with that. Thanks

One suggestion is to boot your computer into safe mode. once there, you should disable any programs running in the background. any disk activity caused by another program will cause defrag to restart.
