I dont know about the rest of you, but I have my computer set so that it supposedly automatically updates everything. I figured it makes life easy. With the last bug, it was lovely...sure enough it had installed the patch. I still go to the windows updater site every once in a while to make sure everything is honkey doory. There are always a bunch of non-critical updates there.
When the new office flaw was discovered I went to the updater site, figuring that if I needed a patch it would be listed there. Nothing there so I figure its all good. But on a whim I did a search for office XP and sure enough I came up with another updater site all together. I went there and I had a list of things that I supposedly needed including service pack 1 which I could have sworn I installed. (Guess it was in one of the other computers...could have been because I just added this OS not too long ago.)
Why the hell doesnt Microsoft have all of their product updates on one site! It would have made it so much easier. And why didnt it auto update the office products too! I am sure I am the last to figure this out. Fukcing microshaft.
