just watched it...

:puke: :puke:

i thought it was ok. for people who like LOTS of blood and guts this is the movie for you. if you don't (like myself) stay away from this one.

the plot was simple, but the characters were stupid. if i ever have friends like those in the movie i'd shoot myself.

I thought this movie was actually really funny. It was meant to be a black comedy, so I went in expecting lots of blood and gore and a few laughs, and that's exactly what I got! If you're a fan of Dead Alive or the Evil Dead series, this movie is for you! :thumb:

i was under the impression it was just another stupid teenie-bopper horror flick. at least, that's how it's been marketed, from what i've seen...

:heh:

some guy behind us was talking on the cell phone and he said "oh, we're watching some sleeping fever movie."

(there was this very talkative couple right behind us. the bf kept talking on his cell phone, so i turned around and gave him a hard stare. he got up and left, and the next thing on screen was the "insensitive cell phone guy skit". i laughed.)

Let me first say that yes, it may appear to be another stupid teenie-bopper horror flick. However, Cabin Fever is rated R, so it was obviously not targeted at a teen audience.

Also, the TV trailer states that Peter Jackson thinks that the film is great - but they only mention that he is the director of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and not his other earlier movies (Meet the Feebles, Dead Alive), which where dark comedies. I think it's great that the trailer includes Peter Jackson's comments, but I find it amusing that they associate the Lord of the Rings with his name rather than Dead Alive. I've even been with some people that have said, "What does Peter Jackson know about horror movies?" when they see the trailer.

Cabin Fever is not a "zombie" movie in the Evil Dead or Dead Alive sense. However, it does try to use gore as a source of comedy at times.

On a totally different note, I can't believe that they got Wayne Static to play a stoner-skater dude. I couldn't believe my eyes and my ears when I saw him on screen talking like that!

Yes, black comedy and dark comedy are synonomous. ;)
