So I went to a Pennywise concert last night. It was in Pomona at the Glasshouse. Tickets were cheap (if you didn't buy them through ticketmaster like i did :angry: ) The opening band was The Line. I had never heard of them, but they played a pretty ok set. A few good songs. In the middle of their set some kid in the pit got hurt, and it was nice to see them stop playing and call over security. When they took the kid out he got a nice round of applause (and a big fat bloody nose from what it looked like :heh: ) At the end they brought out the lead singer from The Deviants, and the circle pit instantly expanded by 3.
About 9:20 Pennywise took the stage. Best show I've seen in a long time. The intensity was off the charts, and pit was vicious. Everyone in the crowd seemed to be singing their songs, even off the new album. They made a few cracks about their age ("This one goes out to those guys that are our age... both of you" :heh: ) Jim, was slappin' hands of the crowd surfers, and told the security they need to be quicker, after letting some kid fall on his butt. We got out of there about 10:30 and got home about 11:30. Ugh, I'm so tired. But a fun night was had by all :D
