So I have a hickey on my neck, it's about the size of a quarter. I tried using cover up but it didn't help at all. I'm wearing a turtle neck wich is uncomfortable w/ the 80 degree weather we're having today.
Is there something I can do or do I just have to wait for it to fade away?
I actually wouldn't mind it, if it wasn't for it being totally unacceptable at work... I had a couple people ask me if I thought it was the middle of winter already.
Thanks for any advice.

i guess you are male, so the ole "i hit myself with the curling iron by accident" won't work.
make up just doesn't diguise it. it just makes it look like a hickey with make up on it. gonna hafta grin and bear it and tell your lover to hickey lower next time. :D

Haha... gotta grin and bear it I guess.
Remember back in high school if you got one you'd try to comb it out? I don't think that ever worked though...
I didn't notice this, until I was getting ready for work this morning and I was like aaaaaaahhhhhhhh.... we're not in high school anymore! Then I had to run around looking for the turtle neck, it was definately one of THOSE mornings. I'm going over to Kohls after work and see if I can pick up some more shirts to last me through the week.
Nickel... I'm a girl too. ;)

I got one too. One person asked about it at work. Since I don't wear a tie and just an unbuttoned dress shirt it's noticeable. I'm hoping it goes away by tomorrow since I have a presentation to make with the client. I'm presenting our application and so the room will be dimmed. Hope that helps.
Hickey's are like battle scars... Wear 'Um Proudly! :D

tea bags work pretty good ...soak them a bit in cool water-till saturated-then let it sit on your hickey for a while..

i got one once and i kinda didnt have to worry about it because i wasn't really home for my parents to see it, but then the weekend came around.
i dont know if anybody's tried the cold spoon method. you get a spoon, put it in the freezer for a while, then you start rubbing the hickey with the cold spoon ... it irritates it and makes it more red than it already was, but it fades like ~10 minutes later. it might still leave a little of the hickey but you can do it again a while later.
i did it a friday before i left for school, got back home and did it again just to make sure it wasnt there for saturday. saturday noon i was eating at the table and my dad was like "whats on your neck?"
i still had a little mark the size of a mosquito bite, so i said it was a mosquito bite :D

That one worked for a friend of mine. I haven't ever had one on my neck to worry about  so I never tried the method myself.
