Well, that says it all but now I switched to Windows 2000 because I got so many bad error messages from windows after installing the bad ram that I figuired I'm lost and I mind as well make use of the stupid W2000 disk I had sitting around.
Worse of all is I really am not a big fan of hunting down and installing drivers and that's exactly what I'm forced to do now http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif
As if my life wasn't at a low point already now I'm not even enjoying my computer !

OMG not enjoying your computer is not good http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif
Tell you what why don't we call Bill up and tell him since it is his software he needs to track down all the drivers for you. That is one of the reasons I didn't upgrade yet. I will stick with win 98 for now.

Talk about messes, half the posts I start typing never get finished as I get these lovely Invalid Page Faults every 5 minutes or so. Netscape and IE5 seem to accelerate this problem and I can't seem to pinpoint it.
I think Win2k would be what I would need to just push me over the edge...yeah, then you get to see me on the evening news held up in some high rise building in downtown LA with hostages!!! I empathize with you Bloodymess http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif

I used to get all of those page faults and then win98 would crash like 4 or 5 times a day (I think it's because I had so many ad bars going http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif) Then I switched to win2k and it actually is better. I never get errors anymore... except, now about once a week it spontaneously restarts http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/eek.gif

That's the NT kernel for ya, whole lot better than the user friendly BS.
I'm using win2000 and loving it. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif

Same here http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif And one of the least talked about features of win2000 is its international language features. I love it!

I love Win2k. I could never run Win98 for 13 days and have it feel like I just rebooted. Win2k seems to be a lot less greedy with the resources. The only thing I need is better Gl support for my V3 3500. I will be getting my GeForce2 pretty soon, though, so that should be fine from what I have heard.
