So I decided since I'm pretty much nocturnal that I'd go down the hall and do some laundry at the lively time of 4 in the morning. The residence halls here charge $1.50 per load and have free drying...not too shabby of a deal. I had already done the bulk of my laundry so all I had left to do was my bed comforter, bed sheets, pillow case, shower towel, and my gym shoes (they are getting old so I figured a washing at worst would destroy them and at best tidy them up).

All is fine and dandy...after going through the wash cycle I load it all up into the one available dryer and set that puppy to 99 minutes, plenty of time to give me dry, roasty hot bed sheets for when I go to bed at what's supposed to be about 4:30 a.m. Well, at about 4:15 I go to check up on the drying process and notice that the dryer door is open and subsequently not running. This means one of either two things
1) someone thought my laundry was theres...opened the dryer door, realized it wasn't their stuff and then never reset the dryer
2) one of my gym shoes somehow knocked the door ajar

either way it looks like I won't be goin to bed till at least 5

that sux! sorry to hear that.

my gf and i are currently renting a house. and the landlord told us that the washer and dryer were as good as new. well, turns out the washer DOES put out water and spins, but it doesn't WASH! and the dryer DOES spin and make the sounds, but it doesn't DRY! go figure!

you'll be able to use that to help you break out of your lease if you want to.
