S: $180 CyberRebate mouse just died

Title says it all. I played the CyberRebate game for quite a while, one purchase at a time, and finally lost after paying $180.00 for an optical mouse (that retailed for about $35.00 at the time).

The mouse is now freaking out. That makes it a complete loss. :bawl:

I never did the Cyberrebates thingy...even though you shelled out 180 for a 35 mouse didnt you end up getting back the 180 back...or is this when it CR went under and where you ended up eating it?

I bought many items for which I did receive the rebate. The mouse was the last one I bought, and they went under before I recieved my rebate.

I got over that long ago... but now it's all flooding back!

Yeah, but you probably still did pretty well, most likely above breaking even. That's worth something

I fondly remember the new internet economy where ppl would toss around $$ left and right. I made more than $1000 on the internet casinos and got a ton of free pets.com and drugstore.com stuff.

Only did the cyberrebate thing once-early on...always smelled a little wierd to me...even then.
