View Full Version : SS: My Moms has a brain tumor

Found out a couple of days ago. About an inch in diameter in her hypothalamus.She's going under the knife next week to see what it is and what can be done. If you are the praying type I ask of you to send her a couple of good ones her way. Her name is Tina.

eSDeeLoco, I will certainly pray for your mom. I was getting ready to post a thread about my mom with something similar, but I'll wait a couple of days now. :) *hug* Let us know how it goes.

Hopefully they caught it early enough that the treatment will be easy without complications. May it be an easy surgery and may she recover swiftly.

my dad had a brain tumor, too. :(

sorry to read your news about your Mom. are they saying the tumor is benign? how did your Mom find out she had it? my Dad had a seizure in one of his legs and that gave us the clue.
be strong man, be positive, plead with God - it's all you can do.

Thank you all for your kind words it means a lot to me really. I am not sure what happened that made her go for the testing, but I guess the good thing is that they caught it when it was still relatively small. The doc said that if it was 3 inches they wouldn't be able to operate. So I guess it's for the best.

My mom is still staying in good spirits(she's a woman of strong faith) and so I figure I have to be atleast as positive as she is. She is keeping on keeping on so I figure I better to. All I can do now is research it, and just pray for the best.

i'll be praying for your mom. my best friend's mom had the same thing. we were pretty worried but the operation was a success. she's prefectly fine and it's gone.

Dude that's great to hear! Hopefully my moms will pull through it. All we can do though is pray for the best and hope that it is meant to be.

Kim, I am doing fine and so is my mom. Tomorrow she is coming up here to San Diego to see the specialist, and he will tell her what the plans are. She seems to be really keeping her spirits up so I am happy. I'll keep you all updated as things progress.

Again, thanks for all your well wishes. You are all very considerate and kind :)
