This forum is RIAA conscious.
I use it all the time, but I don't share. That's ILLEGAL! :D

:wavey: I use it mainly to download TV shows. Getting the season premier of Smallville right now. Don't really use it for mp3s anymore. Not because of RIAA but because I've already downloaded pretty much everything I've ever wanted. Oh, and of course, I use it for porn.

Don't really care about mp3s now since its all illegal. I was just wondering if we can download other things and instead of mp3s and not get fined.

You can download anything that you own yourself or anything that's not copyrighted. You just can't share copyrighted things.

Yeah I still use it. Not as much as I used to though - I'm in the same boat as Merlin; I've got over 5600 mp3s and it's hard nowadays to find a song I don't already have...the only mp3 downloading I really do anymore is new release full albums off of websites; otherwise I mainly use KaZaALite for downloading other things. :naughty:
I dunno... I'll tell you when I'm done downloading dreamweaver, photoshop and pro tools
:P :heh:

Obviously not as many as you, but I have quite a few songs myself. Once in a while I dream of my hard drive failing and wake up in the middle of the night with cold sweats thinking I could lose all my files in a blink of an eye. How do you back up your files? I've thought of burning them on CDs but that's a lot of CDs. Any other options?

I know you're not directly asking me, but I would suggest backing up to a few DVD -/+ r's with the price of dvd burners coming down so much recently. An average good quality mp3 is, say, about 5.5 megs so you could fit between 800 and 900 songs on one dvd.

The discs themselves can be about a dollar each...last week best buy had a 25 pack of TDK dvd-r's for 30 dollars after an instant rebate. I also recently purchased some Ritek (supposed to be some of the best quality dvd-r's) for $1.12 a piece from www.meritline.com , if you buy in bulk (i.e 100) they are 89 cents a piece.
