The Red Sox beat the curse of the Bambino and beat the A's. It looks like the Yankees are going to the WS once again since they own the Red Sox. :( I seriously don't want to see the Yankees so I am rooting for the Red Sox. The Red Sox and the Cubs might meet in this year WS though. :D

POC still in the stadium in oakland, using my cell and my notebook...still can't believe why the blue hell would you pinch hit for dye with 1 out and man on 2nd and third...i don't care if melhouse is hot, dye is your highest paid player...he's money...WTF
argh...
I prefer the Yankees to lose. Why? Because if one team dominates, that makes the game boring. Of Course we are talking about baseball.. and I don't know how much more boring it could be... Let's see what the Commish can work in.. maybe a few more called games, ala the all-star game.

The Yanks and Red Sox played 19 times this year and the Yanks won 10 of them. I'd hardly call that owning them.
The only real advantage the Yanks have at this point is that Pedro had to work last night so he won't be available until late in the series.
Still the ALCS should be ome pretty exciting (that's right Nija - exciting! so bite me:pfft: ) baseball. :king:

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter hits a solo home run off Twins pitcher Eddie Guardado during the ninth inning.

The Yankees celebrate their 8-1 victory over the Twins in Game 4 of the ALDS. The victory advances them to the AL Championship Series.

so what if he makes the catch in game 3 they get out of the inning, win the game, and wouldnt have had to play 4 and 5.

The way the Yanks have been pitching the past 3 games . . . if they keep that up . . . no team has a chance against them.
Also, the way the bats lit up on Sunday . . .
They're just playing at full throttle right now. It's really quite fun to watch. I think they'll handle the Red Sox pretty easily . . . regardless of what the season series record was.
