Went biking on the trails today and that place was just full of vicious bugs. Those nasty critters were out for my blood. I got bit but that's not the worst of it. As I was huffing and puffing, a retarded winged insect decided to take a joyride down my esophagus. Stupid thing died and choked me up like crazy. It stayed in my throat for like 5-10 minutes. After exiting the trail, I did a lot of coughing and spit the guy out; wings were still intact. It sucks to swallow insects.

Thanks for confirming that coleslaw! I suspected as much in the wake of the Los Alamos labs incident. They'll never get me lucky charms!

If you're up to it, take Insect Physiology. It'll show you the proper way of torturing insects. Crap man, I dissected an American Hissing Roach, took out the entire gut, took off its legs, pretty much expose the entire inside of the body (all that was left was its head and some viens), and the roach was still alive. It continued to stay alive for hours.

Dang man, if the Chinese has the technological materials and knowledge to develop naotech robots, why the heck would they still want to spy on the US? http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

right now, it's falling June Bugs... those little annoying fat brown critters just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Somehow, they always end up under my foot.

A lot of insects can stay alive for a good deal of time without their head.

Would the ecological system go out of wack if bugs were totally gone off the face of this planet? To me they seem to be extraneous appendages of the circle of life. I hate you bugs. All of you. Except you ladybug, you can be my friend. Just the ugly ones go away!

Hah! You get bitten a coupla times and you're writing in suckage! I went to Greece when I was in 7th grade with my school, and stayed at a total dive on the island of Crete. First night: 129 bites. Second: another 97 (I bought a "repellant". I guess it worked, to an extent.) The scary thing: I found tons of dead spiders in the sheets, where I had rolled over or squished them. I would hate to have actually been wide awake during the "attacks". Yeesh, I was so noxious with venom, I was bedridden for two days!

you guys think thats bad, roaches are radiation proof, they were still found in places that atomic bombs were tested and after several experiments they found out that even if they detonated every atomic bomb in the world, roaches would still survive.

Man, I was gone for nearly a week and this thread is still here. But anyway, I went camping at Yosemite Nation Park, and the insects there were freaken huge. I had super giant ants (trust me, those suckers were dang big) crawling all over me. The mosquitoes were even scarier. They were the biggest crap I've ever seen, and they're not afraid of you either. One landed on me, and I tried to get it off by swinging my arm back and forth, but it didn't care. Freaken A, I was watching that sucker searching for a good spot on my arm to stick it's needle in.

April was probably still kind of cool, so they might be hinding underground for warmth. But the end of June was probably the perfect time to emerge. Man, I should of went during Winter, I'll probably get some better pictures during that time.

Man, we didn't see any bears there. But we had to practice all these safty precaution to keep the bears away, like storing our food in the these big old metal boxes. My friends and I were joking that if anybody there pissed us off, we would throw a whole bunch of food near their camp at night, so the bears would go there http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

hmm. sounds familiar but i dont think so, we went on this one trail that was like 5 mile long straight up the mountain. the one that takes you past a waterfall and all the way to the top. When we went it was all covered in snow up there, which was really good cause i was dying of thirst

Yeah, it started in the College Point & Whitestone area (that's where I live). I've got a pretty strong immune system. Let's see if I survive the summer. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/eek.gif

I was up there last week minding my own business, when I get swarmed by a bunch of mosquitors. They don't bother with my grandma, dad, or his uncles... only ME!!! I swear my leg was swollen the next day. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif All I've got to say to anyone going up to Yosemite this summer, take some repellent.

Forget the repellent, bring a flame-thrower or something. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
