I'm having trouble removing it on my dell work computer.
I used Mccaffrey and it found/removed the single instance of the virus. I tried to change the registry from symatecs guide and some of the tweaks dont exist on this computer.
Updated ie and still no go.
Is there an easy way to remove it? I need to be able to use google for a lot of stuff here.

I followed these steps up to the reverse part. By reverse do they mean remove what the virus added and than leaving it alone?
"Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
Update the virus definitions.
Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as Trojan.Qhosts.
Reverse the changes that were made to the registry.
Reverse the changes that were made to the Hosts file."
Will adaware or spybot take care of this?
Win xp, dell 4550...
