I miss those days too! Back when 'Around the world' was the jam and they played breaks more than trance. Back when most people were dancing instead of being floored. It's still kind of fun though, but ever since all this E publicity has been in the media it's been so packed at any rave type event in the sf bay area.

I want to go to a Rave at least once (SF Bay area is nice but i live on east coast) but don't know if I will ever get a chance to. heh, don't even know how to get word about them. How do ppl know when these are happening anyway?

So can anyone tell me how they find out about raves/parties around thier area? I live in the suburbs so don't really know how to find out about these things other then friends telling me about them.

Well, if you want to find out about raves, not all of them are covert or illegal. There are always a few (translation: now that raves are popular, a few dozen a year) raves that are well publicized and set up months in advance. Last year my roommate and a bunch of his friends went to some huge rave (I think the name was Stereophonic, but it's been a while), but they had t go buy their tickets like at least a month in advance. I knew about 50 people that went to this rave. Just check around; ask anyone wearing way too many bright colors (candy ravers) or anyone who is capable of focusing his/her eyes independent of each other (heh heh). They'll know at least the trendy raves.

ps - I actually had a friend get so drunk once that his eyes were really focusing at different distances. It was one of the freakiest things I ever saw. My friends and I thought that we killed the guy...
