The Wheel of Time

Just picked up the first book of the Wheel of time series. THe Eye of the World by Robert Jordan. I have heard good things about this series from Fantasy/Sci Fi lovers. Has anyone read this series? I will start the book after I finish STar Wars Shatterpoint.

Just curious what others have thought about this series.

I thought it was a pretty interesting series. I know Apex is a big fan. I never finished it because that was the time I got pretty busy with other stuff. Off topic, you can get the first person shooter for PC in a bargain bin somewhere cheap!

I just started reading The Eye of the World, too. It's pretty good, but I can pretty much see where it is going already...

REally. Perhaps my girlfriend will read it first. She finished the LOTR series. I couldn't get past Followship as it got a bit wordy and the Force was calling me back to my Jedi Adventures
