are you fine with getting up in the morning and instantly making conversation or do you take awhile to get up to speed?

I take time.
The people at my work have finally caught that....they don't really talk to me until about 7:45ish - 8 and they know not to say "good morning" because if it was a good morning, I would still be home sleeping....
but yeah it takes time in the mornign for me to fully wake up....
which kinda sucks since I am at work right now ( 6 am ) and have to talk to ppl...

I'm up and ready to go as soon as I wake.

I'm most talkative in the morning. Probably something left over from my years working in morning radio. My wife is the opposite, she hardly says anything in the morning, yet wants to talk while I'm zoning out at night.

nice ;)
I talk about the same all the time, which isn't much. My G/f doesn't say a word until 7:00am when we walk in the door to work.
She always takes at least an hour after she wakes up to talk.

I can talk as long as I remain lying in bed. Once I get out, I leave comfy bed mode, enter ****ty half-concious mode, and stay there until I get to work and get some caffeine in me.

hehe I am wide awake almost every morning the minute my alarm goes off. And then when I go to sleep at the same time as Scott, I tend to talk until he tells me several times that he needs to go to sleep. LOL

First gotta get rid of the dreaded morning breath....after that I mumble for about 2 hours until I am good to go and make normal conversation.

well you see talking to me in the morning is a lost case. I can talk .. and hold a conversation .. but that's just what my head thinks it's doing.
To everyone else it's like this:
Her: "Morning! How are ya?"
Me: "Moet asseblief nie die toaster toemaak nie. My hare gaan brand."
Her: "What?"
Me: "Luister, jy moet regtig versigtig wees met hierdie dinge. Ek gaan more vir 'n nuwe haas soek."
Her: "Honey .. you're talking in Afrikaans again."
Me: "Fhu? Oh. Dammit. ZZzzz."

I'm not a morning person necessarily, but one thing is for certain:
when I'm up, I'm up.
Granted, some mornings it might take a good shove to get me out of bed, but I'm definitely awake and ready to go.

Morning for me is around 2:30am in the morning, and it blows to wake up that early, so I'm not too conversational.

:stupid:
but it's usually safer for the little kids to not start a conversation with me so early in the morning.

Hehe - yeah, Afrikaans is pretty much exclusive to South Africa :) I am South African, but I live So Cal now :P
I've only been on Table Mountain once during a hiking trip. It's gorgeous up there :) I was from Gauteng though, and Cape Town was a once-in-five-years trip for my fam :)
I'm glad you recognized the language though :P .. Not very many people do :)
Oh and, Dit gaan baie goed met my! En jouself? :)

hell no. i will put a foot to your neck if you wake me up before i want to be woken, which is NEVER in the morning. i'm a night person; i do not get along very well with morningtimes.
if i do wake up of my own accord, and it happens to be in the morning, please, do not bother me with your idle chitchat. i repeat, i will put a foot to your neck.
