DOW 9500...keep it comin, baby!!
I'm still debating whether or not I want to rollover my old 401K to an IRA fund because since I started in October 2002, my 401K has risen 15%. I consider that a victory going against such a terrible economy.
I can see Dow 10000 coming again soon! Well, maybe not as soon as I'd like (end of the year), but maybe in a couple quarters :)

if possible you should always put the max in your 401K.

heh heh...i usually would put 10% of my earnings towards my nest egg. but the way i do it, since my company matches up to 6% only, thats as much as i would put in. then the next 4% goes to the employee stock purchase plan (which also has a benefit - i get to purchase it with a 15% discount). actually i put in 5% just to round off the number.
as far as having money now, sure why not? ;)
but then again how about for money later? i dont think social security will be there if i turn 60. ive seen people depend on them and its a horrible fate. no way im going that route, now that i know i may be around for some more time. who knows i may die tomorrow, so oh well for me. but my salary affords me to have fun and live well AFTER all the moneys been taken out (taxes, medical, dental, 401(k),stock purchase), so it doesnt hurt me at all. :)
i may not be rich or have a business that will make me retire when im 45, but i can start saving now to keep having fun later on. :) :P
Good attitude. Now if everybody still in school was forced to study basic personal finances, I think everybody would be much better off...and nobody would need Got|Apex? because we would all be able to afford paying full price and then what?!?!!??!
