I'm having a hard time coming up with a good name for the little boy we're going to be having in about 6 weeks. So...I need some help.

What are some names you think are neat? I don't want something that everyone else has but don't want anything weird or hard to spell either. Serious suggestions will be appreciated...

We have a couple but they all seem kinda ghey to me. I kinda like Alec something or Aaron James.

Our first boy is named Austin Christopher Cheapbast@rd. I think it would be cool if our new boy's initials are the same.

that's the perks of being a dad-you can kick the **** out o' em. Actually it's pretty cool to have your name refer back to something (like Yo Adrien-even though Adrianne was a female in the movie)..all my life people have been singing that stupid HEY HEY Paula song to me..I'm used to it now-and claim it as my own.

Adrien is pretty cool, but don't do Aiden, it's the most overdone name in the past few years, everyone names their kid Aiden! Although you don't have much choice with you want to keep the initials. Perhaps Andre, Ashton, Avery?

Anson? Alton? Austin?
I don't think the middle name is as crucial as the first name, because it doesn't come up as often. Pick a first name you and your wife like and then worry about the C middle name.

hahahahaha I'm sorry, but a kid named Frodo would never hear the end of it. Could you take a guy seriously if he was named Frodo? And uh Airencracken, he was asking mostly for A.C. names (first name starting with A, middle name starting with C).

Um... that would only work if his last name was Slater. (It isn't, is it? Because if it is, you might have to consider the whole AC Slater thing.) Besides, would you really want your son to grow up to be Mario Lopez?

and if you are still stuck on an "A" name do consider Angus Young CheapBast@rd. AC/DC will still be kickass when the kid comes of age. :)

or then there is always Ben Dover CheapBast@rd

whitak24
10-10-2003, 12:46 PM
just my opinion, but the kid might not want having the same initials as his brother. you reach a point (around 12 or 14) where you usually just want to be different. just something to consider....

Dude there was a kid in my high school named Jack Mehoff. Not even kidding. And yes people gave him a hard time about his name. What were his parents thinking?! And regarding Meet The Parents, Ben Stiller's character was named Gaylord Focker. "Your name's Gay Focker?!" "It's just a game, Focker!" :heh:

I was just about to chalk that up as getting told, but I'm pretty certain it's FoCker. If you search yahoo or something with "meet the parents" + focker, you get a lot more results than "meet the parents" + fokker. Same with "meet the fockers" vs. "meet the fokkers". If I'm wrong I'm in good company. This website http://movies.go.com/movies/M/meetthefockers_2002/ has one explanation for the discrepancy:

07/16/02
Various Internet sources claim that the title has been changed to Meet the Fokkers, supposedly because "Focker" was too close in spelling to you-know-what … even though the writers are clearly playing off the pun. (Dark Horizons, Counting Down)

According to IMDB.com, it is Focker, and I trust them as an authority on these things.

However, the new movie is titled Meet the Fokkers.
