I don't buy nothing for anybody at work. They are cow-orkers... no personal friends.
hell I would have to think hard about a personal friend that I would get something for.

You should get her a pocket rocket and give it to her anonymously with just a smiley face as the signature. Make sure that it is computer generated though (the sig) and that you have the gift dropped off somehow. (In otherwords, no way that you can be tracked down via watching the office tapes...) You can always have it sent from UPS or FED-ex etc...and just have it picked up in front of someone elses apt. buiding. Just schedule the pick up and go outside and meet the guy. If he asks for a sig, sign it with an X.

All depends if your boss is nice, I think. If your boss is a jerk, then you obviously shouldn't get her anything. But if your boss is pretty chill, it's worth considering. But is a gift expected? Heck no. You're not obligated at all.

skiAtomic: Do they all come down on you every time you forget to put the new cover sheets on your TPS reports? At least you'll always have extra copies of the memos.

Boss's day has got to be one of the stupid days the greeting card companies have thought up. if you get your boss something all the other peeps at work who don't get the boss something are gonna think you are a major brown noser.
