whoaaaaaaa... just had an epiphany....

anybody notice how uma thurman is wearing that yellow jumpsuit in the showdown with O-ren's army, and the whole army is wearing Kato masks (they're even pointed out specifically as "Kato masks")??

yellow jumpsuit = Bruce Lee's outfit in Game of Death...
Kato = Bruce Lee's character from the Green Hornet tv show...
David Carradine = the man who stole Bruce Lee's role in the tv series "Kung Fu"

therefore...

Uma's mission to Kill Bill = Bruce Lee's revenge on David Carradine!!

IT'S CRAZY!!

EDIT:
btw, i discovered this after i looked up the soundtrack online (the music in the movie was great) and discovered the theme from the Green Hornet was on it.

Bruce Lee could kick David Carradine's a$$ all day.

I'm not a big fan Tarrantino's style, but I heard fun things about it.

The movie is totally not Tarentino's usual style. It was great, teh movie was unlike anythign else I've ever seen. I agree with whoever said it was like a live action anime, thats exactly what I thought after I watched it.

i fell the same way as Jihforce, i think tarentino is a doosh, but i liked this movie and pulp fiction.

Violence, gore, ass kicking. It was totally straight up hollywood mixed with the traditional chinese martial arts flicks. Stylistically, it was a good mesh of Tarantinos creative genius with a chaotic twist of kung fu fighting.

I read in the paper that this corelation was done on purpose. Interesting. Maybe I'll go see this movie...

just saw this movie. Now I'm pumped up.

BTW, did Uma do her own stunts? I don't think she did, but from what I hear, she took a beating filming this movie.

Anyone know when Vol. 2 comes out?

actually in the blue shadow part, you could see it wasn't her....

but yeah.

good movie...fun HK type action...

gore was more comical than gory...

and as for volume two...sometime in spring I believe.

Actually this was never meant to be a 2 volume movie...but it was going to be like a 4 hour movie so Mirimax (i think that was the company) decided to cut it into two movies.
The critics yelled because they were saying it's about the money, and that's why mirimax is doing into two...but Miramax said, no, it's stritly about the time....then the critics said if it's just about the time, then give everyone who buys the tickets to the first one a ticket for the second one. crickets chirping.
well, that's it from the show biz gossip column :P

i had actually heard that it was tarantino's last-minute decision to make it into two movies.

i saw a interview with uma before the movie came out, and confirmed the yellow jumpsuit was like bruce lee's

i also heard that if they had not cut the movie into two, the movie would have gotten the dreaded NC-17 rating, which would kill revenue

from the production notes on the official site, it says vol 2 is due to release on feb 20, 2004

it also says tarantino didn't write it as two parts.
