Now I understand how the Dems felt with Clinton. I swear, the more people blast Bush, the more I love him. Of course, I'm talking about an admiring, respectful kind of love. Not the gay kind. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Well maybe because he ACTS, instead of just spouting rhetoric. I'm a GW fan. Agree with him or not, he acts upon his convictions which I admire. Terrorists? Take it to their house. Economy slow? Cut the heck out of taxes and put cash in peoples wallets.
I am baffled at the democrat menagerie for president. They all agree that GW is the most horrible human being that ever lived, but I can't for the life of me repeat their strategy or solutions to solving problems.

Well, I'm guessing the republicans lie just as much as the democrats do. It's politics as usual.
What do you do?
SPIN! SPIN! SPIN!
Politics in america is so "centrist" that the democrats literally = the republicans these days.

Oh he spouts rhetoric. The site showed his quotes. Then it showed his actions which were contrary to his rhetoric. Every politician has rhetoric. It just whether or not you agree with it.
Its coincidental that I agreed with EVERYTHING he said in those quote on that site. I'm all for helpign each and every cause he claimed he espoused there. Yet, when push came to shove he bailed on them. Yet he didn't bail on his millionaire campaign contributors. He didn't bail on the oil interests. He was very careful where he gave money and who he supported.
Bush attempts to carry himself with this attitude that he is in touch with the common man and knows what they need and want. Thats his outward persona, thats what he says. One look at his actions shows that he obviously couldn't care any less for the average working american except come election day.
Dems think the answer to any issue is attacking Bush. Do these dips really think that will get them elected? What are their plans for fighting terrorism? "Fixing" the economy? They have none-just negativity. If this is the best they got, forget about it. Calling 'em sorry would be an understatement.
Politics in america is so "centrist" that the democrats literally = the republicans these days. No, call some of these Dems what they really are...socialists.

Whatever. If Clinton hadn't gotten that blowjob or held Rush down and forced him to take drugs, we'd be much better off now.

exactly. the fact is bush said those things, and then did nothing about it. so what if some dems compiled the information on one page. that does not change the facts.

why is it when bush gets critiized, the only thing his supporters can say is, "well well well, let's not forget about clinton. . ."

but when Clinton lied, it was ok, because the American people shouldn't be butting into his personal life, right? He had a right to lie...

None of the Democrates I know thought that it was "okay" for Clinton to lie. They were, in fact, upset that he lied, but they were even more upset that he was put into a position where he had to address the American people before he could even talk to his wife privately.
The difference here is that Bush was never strong-armed, and the topics that he has lied about are not aspects of his personal life. They have to do with foreign and domestic affairs. :dodgy: No pun intended. :dodgy:

before he could talk to his wife privately???
eh?
sure...so, the American people grabbed Clinton only minutes after the BJ and started grilling him about how it felt? what????
strong armed???
he was asked to tell the truth....that's not being strong armed.
and your last sentence just goes along with what I said...Americans don't think that it was our business to ask him about his personal life....to each his own.

Clinton is irrelevant to this discussion, even if Clinton killed someone, which he may have, it doesn't give Bush an excuse to do anything. Judge each man according to his own actions not relative to someone elses.
I refuse to argue about Clinton in this thread because he doesn't have anything to do whether or not Bush's economic and social policy is jacked up and completely opposite from his rhetoric.
