Breast Cancer 3 Day walk- sponsors needed!

Hey all, I am sure most of you have heard of heard of the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk (http://www.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=25309). If you haven't, basically a bunch of people walk 60 miles to raise awareness and funds for the research of Breast Cancer. One of my friends is trying to raise the 2 g's she needs to do the walk, and so I told her I would post this up here in case anyone feels like donating. If you got a couple of extra bucks, please help her out!

I am participating in the AIDS Walk Los Angeles this sunday, it should be exciting.

So she has to raise atleast 2,000 to participate?

Sorry, I've already done my good deed for the year. I donated for about $50 to one of my friends whose doing the AIDS Marathon (http://www.aidsmarathon.com/participant.jsp?runner=LA-3488&year=2003) in Hawaii.

That's pretty cool good for you. Pinkgirl, I asked them the same thing about having to raise 2 g's in order to participate. I am not sure exactly if it is a requirement or just a goal to strive to. I would imagine that they could walk with 50 bux if they wanted, however I think that all of the walkers get food/drinks/places to sleep all of the nights of the walk so there is a little bit of cash going into it.

Either way, I think this is a great thing. It's great when something as tragic as breast cancer can be turned around into something so positive.
