Dude, baseball blows hard....ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Baseball has so much more drama than football could imagine. Sure, during the regular season, it can get boring . . . 162 games . . . no single game makes THAT big of a difference . . . but baseball has more playoff games than football has regular season AND postseason games for your team (if they make the Series) . . . THOSE games have SO much more drama . . . so beautiful . . . tension just builds so incredibly between pitches . . . every pitch matters . . . it's just so draining to watch . . . football just can't do that, at least for me . . .
BUT . . . this should not be a thread about baseball vs. football . . . it's about "THAAAAAA YANKEES WINNNNNNN . . . THAAAAA YANKEES WINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN"
edit: OK, so not quite MORE games . . . but potentially 19 postseason baseball games . . . I wouldn't trade those games . . . or even the minimum of 11 for the entire football season . . . but that's just me.
By the way, not nice crapping the thread ;)

I swear, I could watch that homer by Boone OVER and OVER and OVER again! I get tingles just hearing the call from it! SOOOOO sweet watching the Sox go down again! Damn, I wish I had put more effort into pulling off tix for tonight!

Who cares... the yanks are always in the world series... Just watched the news... and that homerun was sweet... but still I'll take a Warren Sapp Pogo stick dance in the endzone and a Dante Hall run back any day.
SOrry for crapping on your thread, but I hate baseball :) the only time I watched or paid attention to baseball since the strike was this playoffs with the Cubs and Red Sox in a fantasy hunt and dream world series that won't happen, and the Home run race those were nice.

Tofu its pretty funny that you keep saying how you hate baseball but you keep commenting in all these baseball threads :)
I just got back from watching the game in a bar. WHAT A GAME! It SUCKED that the Red Sox lost but they had their opportunities. I am first off a baseball fan so even though I am disappointed in the outcome I am happy at how exciting these series have been. I am not sure if the WS will live up to what we have witnessed in the AL/NL CS, but we can only hope.
Good FISH!!! :D

Fox's ratings have been through the roof with these series. NBC even dropped their episodes of Friends and what not (why waste and burn those episodes during the baseball games right?) But the thing is, the ratings were up b/c of the Cubs and Red Sox fans. Now, with both teams out, I wonder how much ratings will go down.
(it's so funny how everyone is totally dissing the Yankees, just b/c "they make it to the WS so often, blah blah, I hate them!" and then all the Yankees fans are like "Well, FU!" Hehe, all you Yankees fans out there, now you know what its like being a Lakers fan. :D )

For me, it has more to do with the payroll. http://espn.go.com/mlb/news/2003/0721/1583823.html The Yankees spend $60 million more than any other team. The A's almost made it with a payroll of $56 Million. It's kinda like me comparing cars with Bill Gates, well SURE he's going to have a better one, big deal! :)

Chicago Cubs 86,576,763
Florida 63,281,152
so explain this.
and also explain to me why the mets and texas SUCK so horribly.

I didn't say that they directly correlate :) I personally just think that over a long period of time, higher spending teams are going to win more.

alright then, i think id rather pay a bit more and get results vs. chucking out more then most every year for NOTHING.
