I went over to a forum on Sunday morning 10/5 and changed my email address since it {old email address} was no longer available. Ever since then my login credentials are no longer valid. I suspected an email had to be sent out to new email address for confirmation.
Anyways I wait a couple days for the email to come and it never does. Then I go searching and find a thread in site feedback forum there. Heck couldn't miss the thread-it was the 2nd thread since there is so little traffic. In the thread a member talks about how his friend is trying to join the forums and can't since he never gets an email to activate the account. Also the friend tried emailing some of the mods and got no response. It finally takes 4 days for an admin over there to straighten out the situation.
At this point I sent an email to the admin {tuesday 10/7}. A week goes by with still no response. {Yet during that time the admin is posting several times a day.} I go over to the forum and no surprise the account is still invalid. I go into the forsale forum and find a new thread someone posted saying the forsale forum is slow there. Gee wonder why that is. http://home.earthlink.net/~sbp777/smilies/rolleye.gif Anyways another email was sent {Tuesday 10/14} to the admin there. Wonder if he'll respond anytime soon? Hasn't yet, don't hold your breath.
Please note under a fusetalk forum it should be no problem taking care of someone's account. In fact it's easier than using vBulletin when doing anything in the control panel.
Here's my point: you would think a forum with little traffic would be eager to take care of members and people. Guess not.
At one time that forum used to get plenty of traffic. Not anymore. Guess they just don't care.
