well I asked them if I could have one... plain and simple. They asked me what I did and then they responded with a confirmation email saying one is on the way. that's all

The question isnt why is he special, but rather what classes does he teach. For example if he happens to teach IT classes or something where he needs to backup large quanities of data, Plextor would like the free advertising. All the students will see that he is using it, he is supposedly in the know, hence */emeril/ BAM /Emeril/* free advertising.

By that train of thought I should be able to get one too. As an attorney I theoretically need to constantly archive briefs, motions, and other documents. Hmmmm......
