So I'm going to the Microsoft Professional Developer's conference in L.A. next week - anyone else going to be there? Looks like the attendee party will be pretty worthwhile - http://msdn.microsoft.com/events/pdc/aparty.aspx

Universal Studios Hollywood™

Join us Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Universal Studios Hollywood for the exclusive PDC 2003 Attendee Party, where you and your guests will receive VIP red-carpet treatment, including free food, free drinks, free entertainment, and all the rides you can handle.

With the park open exclusively to PDC 2003 attendees, you'll have unlimited access to all of the attractions, as well as complimentary dining at Hollywood Grill, Louie's Pizza and Pasta, Hollywood Cantina, Mel's Diner, Jurassic Park Cove, and Mulligan's Pub.

In addition, bars serving a selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages and dessert stations featuring mouthwatering treats will be located throughout the park.

wow! that sounds awesome!

it's also making me laugh to think about a bunch of geeks in khakis and plaid oxford shirts with pocket protectors going nuts in there :heh:

reminds me of the Las Vegas scene in Microserfs

Hey! I work at Universal in the tower at the bottom of the hill and I KNOW I will still be at work at 7:30pm. haha. In fact, i'll be at work until 9 or 10pm :)

Give me a shout if you want to grab some drinks. =D

Yeah, ha ha! Geeks! Those guys are so- wait a minute... :hmm:

You'd be surprised at how some of these people can cut loose when the booze starts flowing freely... but there will always be the ones who skip the party so they can stay back in the hotel & do a little more research on a new API or try to break into the hotel's network.
