i don't understand that. i mean, especially at the places where the drive-thru is open far later than the counter at the restaurant, why would they care if you walked up?

of course, in nyc, there's no such thing as drive-thrus :hihi:

once, i had to walk up to a bank drive-thru. it was a friday afternoon and the lobby was already closed, and i really needed to make a deposit. so i ended up having to walk through. it was so hot, and i felt like a major idiot.

Scenario: Walking (or biking) customer is using drive-thru. Car comes along and injures walking (or biking) customer.
Result: Some lawyer gets richer. :hehehmm:

Why do you think whitak is stalking around the drive-thrus? :P

I explained that I would have driven through but their drivethrough lane was too small for the delivery truck I was driving. It was afterhours and I was starving so I took a chance. They did serve me that night.

and that's a problem how?

:P :heh:

um, i see your point. good reasoning. i suppose it also might be for safety reasons -- perhaps they think it would be easier to rob or injure the drive-thru employees on foot.

on a (somewhat) related note, remember the lineman for some college football team (seems like it was oklahoma or nebraska) who tried to climb through the drive-thru window at taco bell because he thought they cheated him on his order? :heh:
