I'd really like to know if there is. I have lots of pdf files I'd love to edit in word. Sooner the better. Thanks!
Highlight the text and copy paste into a Word document.
Sometimes the PDF is protected and won't let you copy.

I think I remember reading that one of the free office suites could open .pdf files. They also are Word-compatible, so maybe they could save to a .doc format.
Check out 602PC Suite (http://download.com.com/3000-2064-10028076.html ) or OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org/)

There is one way, but it's really time consuming, and only works when you want only the text.
Open the PDF, size to one page per screen, print screen, open your paint proggie (mine is PSP), paste as a new image, crop only the text, save that image as a bitmap, THEN...import that bitmap into an OCR proggie (I use textbridge pro-they usually come with scanners). Once the OCR does it's thing, you should have a rich text file of whatever you scanned.
Good luck.
