Ha! Yep... looks like Fox finally has a moneymaker (Fox News) that they're as confident in as the Simpsons.

Side note: I wonder if the writer of this story similarly refers to CBS news as "...the left-leaning newscast..."?

All TV news sucks. Its meant to be entertainment and nothing more.

The Fox News Network did back down on its threat, although it has told The Simpsons creators that in the future, cartoon series will not be allowed to include a "news crawl" along the bottom of the screen, which might "confuse the viewers."

ok, either fox news is
a.) hypersensitive and is using any justification possible to cut off any criticism
or
b.) assumes their viewers are so unintelligent that they would be "confused" by a cartoon with a news crawl on the bottom of the screen and think it was actually fox news.

i mean, really. it's fine if you say "listen, you're not allowed to parody us because this is 'special'", but to use the excuse that it might "confuse viewers" is just hilarious.

fox news viewers ought to be highly offended by the implication that they would be confused...
