I'm so lost because I have no experience with IRC. What's the best one to use?

I've tried WinBot, but there's no message prompt for me to type in commands and I can't connect.

Any info or PM's about this would be much appreciated! :)

What are you using Irc for? I use mIrc. There are add-on scripts that fits your needs.

Definitely, mirc

for a beginner, it is the simplest program out there. pm me if you need more help. ;)

I use a combination depending on what I'm doing, and which box i'm on...

XChat (http://www.xchat.org/)

ircN (http://www.ircn.org/)

and the old standby:
mIRC (http://www.mirc.com/)

mIRC is easy to use and you could change the script to fit your needs.

i use xchat. only thing i've noticed with it is that you cant copy the text you highlight if you wanted to paste somewhere else. i also use trillian.
