Ok its been about a week since I've been running os 10.3 which was released last firday. And with all the fires going around and school shut down for the week, I had LOTS of time getting to know 10.3. And man what a huge improvement from jaguar. Running it on a dual 1.42 g4 and a pb 867. First impressions that were overly noticeable was the speed improvement. The os is very snappy and responsive now. Few of the new features that are great would be, color labeling for icons, makes it visually easy to sort through stuff, mail has a thread viewing so it makes it nice and easy to view a series of e-mails of the same subject in an organized way, font viewer, finally a nice and simple easy way to view fonts. Some other ones. . . hmm oh I know! Exposé, exposé, exposé! This is hands the alone worth the price of panther. I love this thing, it srhinks down the windows of all programs active or just the windows of the current program you're running in and hides away all programs real quick and brings them back, all with the click of one button. My life has become more "productive" because of this. The list goes on of minor improvements here and there. One other major nice improvement is the power management has been tweaked up more, I'm now getting about 30-45 mins more battery time on my powerbook, from around 2.5-3 hours now to 3.5-4 hours. Overall I'd say this is well worth the upgrade. And here is a little video I made since I was so bored inside all week. . . some eye candy for you all http://homepage.mac.com/spigidygak/iMovieTheater42.html
