i'm usually pretty good about dling stuff. however, somehow, the trojan virus got through to my comp. norton 2002 found it, but can't get rid of it. how can i get rid of it w/o formatting my whole hard drive; or is that even possible?

any help would be greatly appreciated! tia

check symantecs website for advanced removal instructions. depending on the damage you might be better off reformatting.

(as a side note, i love virus free OS X)

the restore disk will more than likely screw you over since it will either install over windows or erase your HD and reinstall everything.

NAV 2002 is limited in how much it will update. I found that the files 2002 could not delete but merely quarantined NAV 2003 is able to handle with no problem.

Also try out McAffee's Stinger program, it's a great tool to keep on hand and updates regularly.
