I'd recommend meeting at the game and then maybe ask about going someplace after the game is over (if there's any half decent place still open) if everything goes well. I think it's always better to take the girl out to a place to eat once you actually know a bit more about her, it seems to flow a bit easier.

**maybe suggest bringing her to the game so you know she won't shaft you

makes sense, I'd say go for it...the only reason I suggested bringing her somewhere afterwords was so that you had a bit of a chance to talk to her durring the game, topics that you could use to talk to her about at dinner....there's nothing worse than bringing a girl out to dinner and not really having anything to talk about. I do suppose, though, that since you don't know eachother well, then you could literally talk about anything...an endless subject.
