when you bite the inside of your lip or cheek by mistake when you are chewing? the noise is so loud - "CRUNCH", and it hurts. :neartears

Really? I mean, I don't like the pain either, but the taste of blood is kinda yummy.

I guess either, although the only blood that I've tasted is mine and those belonging to various non-sentient animals. I don't know... blood just kinda has this tangy taste that is kinda yummy.

i know the crunch you're talking about. it comes from you ripping your cheek tissue. ouch. then it swells up and you're even more likely to bit it again.

:stupid:

i HATE that. it's awful, and then like cheapie said, when it swells, then you bite it and irritate it again and again :(

I hate the crunch, and now a lot of little bumps and protrusions make themselves all the more susceptible to being crunched on again. It's a nasty, gnarly sound and feeling. But much more enjoyable that having your inner lip swelling up like a balloon in between the tiny gap of your lower two front teeth.

food caught in there or you didn't brush/floss well there and the plaque went wild and caused inflammation.

Yeah I've done that a bunch of times, it's pretty friggin nasty. And it hurts. I tried orajel on one of those once, and it just stung. No pain relief.

Orajel sucks. Tastes nasty and numbs up your mouth and tongue. Even greater chances of biting hard on your own cheeks or tongue.

I must have been possessed, because... STOP READING HERE IF YOU ARE SQUEAMISH!!!!

I just finished washing up (I washed everywhere, don't worry mom :P) and was about to shampoo, when blood started to spill out my face. Nose, then out of my mouth... I FLIPPED out :( the water turned red at my feet and I had to chill the fark out before I would have had to call one of my roommates in to help my naked body out. It's happened before (only about 3-4 times total), and I don't really know what triggers it or anything else, saw a doc about it last year and they thought it was blood pressure related

Either way, it's not pretty, and not something you want to have happen the morning after you see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Sounds like you had a bloody nose while taking a shower. I've had that a couple of times. Get a doctor to look at it. They can give you creams for that... and if necessary cauderize it. On the bright side, because of the water from the shower, it probably looks worse than it really was.

The Happy Squirrel
11-03-2003, 06:25 PM
that doesnt sound healthy, most likely blood presure related, do you take really hot showers, or really cold showers, might have somthing to do with the temp also
eitehr way get it checked out pronto
