I have a HUGE diamond..I hardly ever wear it..Mr.Melon still looks like Mr.Potato head-with or without the rock. I married him because he had nice legs..not a nice checkbook. ;)

People get too worked up over this. Guidelines for how many months salary to spend... different cuts, different settings. Engagement rings, wedding rings..

Guys, it just doesn't matter. It doesn't matter how much you spend, how many jewelry stores you shop, or any of the other things people stress over.

Just remember, despite all the options, carats, settings, diamonds really only come in one size: Not Big Enough!

You can never win....

i was just having a discussion with a few people, and my friend suggested...why waste 3 months salary on an engagement ring when she'll get a wedding ring,might as well use the money smarter, and get her an engagement car(about the same money)

I have no engagement ring nor do I have a wedding ring, I married my husband because I love him. People always say I am crazy because I don't have a ring but I tell them I have a great husband prolly better then theres who needs a ring. Not to say I wouldn't like a 1 carat platnuim orincess cut ring size 6.
