Anyone who drive a Ford Explorer will know what hell it is to get replacements for those tires. Forget it if you want a non-Firestone brand--you'll have to pay out of your own pocket, and chances are they are out of stock everywhere. They ended the reimbursement period if you buy competitor's tires just one day after they annouced the policy. Now that is true suckage. It's going to be months before they get through the waiting lists. Whether there's anything actually wrong with the tires or not, I'm never buying Firestone again just because of the way they're handling this recall.

Yeah, I saw it on the news and this is a suckage all right.

Just don't over-inflate the tires and drive over 70 Mph. They've known this problem 6 years ago, its just they never expected so many morons to over-inflate their tires and speed.

do you really think the consumers are morons and not the company. And come on now, 70 MPH is definetly NOT speeding, I've been on some highways where the limit is 70. If Firestone has known about this problem for 6 years, they, as well as Ford are solely responsible, no way you can blame the consumer who paid good money for a defective product

Oh I'm not saying you can't go over 70, but the people who had their tires overinflated (45 psi or more) and went over 70 had problems. So it's safe to go over 70 as long as your tires aren't over inflated.

Wow, people are reportedly dying from these tires!

Well, what did you think?!
I didn't realize so many people had died from this, though...um, can we say, "bye bye, Firestone?" I wonder if this is going to bankrupt them, or if I should wait and buy some shares when they reach the $1 level?

Hmm if they go down, what is F1 Racing going to use?
