Check ebay and I'm sure you'll find some schmuck paying $10 for it.

how apropos :D

I like what the US Mint has done... money was really no fun until they started making special state quarters, new $20 bills that do tricks and flips around your shoulder (see commercial with guy in glasses), and now the new nickel. Now money is fun! :rolleyes: :P

I think that they should make the new money coin money system better!!!

They should make it by size = value of money

penny = smallest
nickle = next to smallest
dime = big
quarter = bigger than the rest

why is the damn dime smaller then the penny?

Should never be that way!

actually, the US Mint is responsible for making coins (the state quarters and new nickels), while the U.S. Bureau of Printing and Engraving is responsible for the new paper money.

i was reading an article about the Director of the US Mint and it sounds like she's done a lot of smart stuff as far as increased inventory control, rationalizing the supply chain, using RFID tags to track shipments, etc to make the mint more efficient.

on the BPE, on the other hand.....i'm not sure why we have to spend millions of dollars advertising money. it's not like people are suddenly going to start using canadian currency or something :rolleyes: :shrug:
