Virus question

ok so a friend of mine, i presume, got a virus

she can not doqnload any files from anywhere using IE.
i thought it was the swen virus/worm, but the norton cleaning tool didn't find it


now after trying to dowonad something IE tells her, that the website is unavailable and to try later

any ideas

tried ad-aware yet? Lots of botched spyware can cause that sort of stuff
