Not to knock the deal, but whenever I've seen those "1 billion piece tool kits" for $5, the quality is somewhat lacking. Hopefully thats not the case here.

Let me know if you like what you get. Maybe I'll follow your lead! :)

Yeah - pls update us with your opinion of the stuff... for prices that low, I certainly don't expect any high quality stuff, but frankly I'm a little skeptical that a $5.99 hammer drill will even power on!

Stuff came today and I got to play around with it. Altogether, I'm impressed.

First of all, it all came in a reinforced UPS cardboard box, which alone prolly cost $15. The shipping total was only $22 and the package wieghed about 60lbs. I found that the shipping charges are kinda weird at surplus computers. They seem to be based on number of items after a certain base charge. Anyway...

The impact drill is REALLY POWERFUL. I cant speak to its longevity, but its 650W (!) and when I pull the trigger, the torque is incredible. I felt like Tim Allen UHR UHR POWERE UHRRR!!!$6

The flood light is really great too. I've owned some cheap lights before that ended up falling apart. This one is made of very thick high density plastic. While I wouldnt want to toss into the back of a truck, it will find a nice home under a seat or in a large toolbox. Also, the lense is 13cm, with a fairly shallow focal distance, so its not a "spot light" as much as its a flood.$7

The screwdriver set is a great deal and faily good quality. I wouldn't want to torque them down with a pipe wrench, but they won't break under the kinds of force a human hand could put on them.$2

The drill set was really nice too-lots of bits, adapters, screws, and drywall sockets. Impressive collection for not very much $. The masonry bits are rather dull...but I doubt I'll use the set I have anyway.$6

The high intensity LEDs (I bought white) are just that-LED's that pumps out a of light for and LED. They are about the size of a quarter and come on a keychain. $2

Hope that helps, and I hope they run their tool sale a while longer...good stuff! Pics when I get around to it...

Update: some pics, thanks to lilboyinc's uploader:
what is the best method to resize pics? I chose "bicubic resample", since that's what I usually use when resizing DIVX.

The drill bit set and impact drill (I forgot to mention-the lateral handle is plastic (in case anyone wondered if it was metal :eye:
