She said she spent the next 15 minutes in a restroom vomiting and has since seen a psychiatrist and taken medication for depression and anxiety.
This is going to sound kinda mean but...

everytime I read something like this, I always think that it's all planned out by the customers just so they can sue.

i just saw the news report for this, and the lady didn't look like she was "traumatized" by the experience. so ... who know?

That's nasty... Is the condom used?

well, she was DEPRESSED .... i don't see how chewing on a condom would lead to depression. i mean i'm sure there's psychological effects just cause it's a condom of unknown origin, and it's gross but depression....

My feeling exactly. At the very least, even if the waiter/cook was pissed enough to throw a condom in there the woman probably read it like a winning lottery ticket and just played it out.

I'll give on the vomiting, but depression and anxiety? puh-leeze

What's she complaining about-this was obviously a condiment! http://home.earthlink.net/~sbp777/smilies/condom.gif

:heh: hahahaha. nice, sbp.

as for the trauma she did or didn't suffer.....who knows. maybe she's exaggerating (it kind of sounds like it). or maybe she's had some bad past experiences with used condoms that are making this much worse for her.

Yeah, this is bogus. If I were a disgruntled employee trying to freak out a customer, I'd have unrolled the condom first. Maybe drop a few short hairs in next to it too! :D

I go to the McCormicks and Schmicks in El Segundo - it is a very good restaraunt. I even had my wedding rehearsal party there. Something like this is definitely an isolated incident.

I've never been a waiter before, but if I was I doubt I would have a condom with me while I'm working to throw in someones soup. This sounds to fishy. I'm guessing she planted it.
