Here's an interesting one for those looking for a budget desktop with a flat panel:

Go to Dell Home and hit the E-value code button half way down the page. Enter 19118-D51110m as the code. This will get you the Dimension 2400 with a free 15" flat panel and a $100 rebate.

You can then manually change the options to give yourself the current free offerings including: free double memory to 256MB, free 2nd bay CD writer and free upgrade to 80GB HD.

You end up with a pretty good budget system with a LCD for $699 - $25 (Code B036FDAB63CA) - $100 MIR = $574 + $100 shipping = $674

If you want a 17" LCD it's only $90 = $764, but just so you know it delays the shipping date for a few weeks.

Not to knock your deal, but you can configure that system right now and end up in the high $300's and by the 17" flat for regular price and come out about the same. Nothing bad about you, but dell does try to pull a fast one from time to time and make you think "Ooh, free 15" flatty, when in actuality, they aren't exactly breakin' the bank.

If you need a machine now, go for this deal, if you can wait a bit I'm fairly sure you'll see some sweet deals coming with the holiday season.

There are definately better deals out there at different times. I just figured it was a good one for those who are looking to buy right now.
