The last dozen or so shows I have been to have been in small venues, so I've been able to get into the first 2 rows with very little trouble. It's so great to be standing less than 3 feet away from the guys on stage. And being that close to the stage means that the pit is behind me usually, so I don't have to mess with that very often.
Ya man small venues with awesome bands = outrageous time. Last Friday I went to see Cursive live and they were AMAZING. Jealous Sound played before them and they were good too, a pleasant surprise to have a good opening band!
