A little while ago I was griping about my electrical engineering class with no curve... (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67132) where the average grade is dismal. The professor seemed uncharacteristically nice today though, announcing that although he was not going to "curve", he would do a straight-scaling of the grades. He's making 25% a C- (the lowest passing grade), which I was thrilled to hear. I have somewhere around a 65% right now, right around the mean if I had to guess. That probably puts me around a B-? I'm guessing he's making it easy to pass but still hard to get a really good grade, which is fine with me. I had been stressing that I might get a D and have to repeat the class. :) :) :)

Hehe, our physics professor did this last year. Everyone did so poorly on the exams, that, in the end he had an A-,A,A+, and "more" category for different degrees of A's for the course.
