Xp Pro multi users want them disable access to certain things

OK on the new machine i am setting up i am going to be having 3 users as full administrators and 2 users as restricted. For one of the restricted users i want her to be able to access everything but not be able to download things from the web and not beable to add and remove programs, for the other user i want her to be able to just use aol and another program.


Is there a way to do this with xp pro? Thank you very much :)

ok i figured out how to make the first one not able to download anything or add remove programs. still looking on letting the other use just aol and another program

Standard users usually cannot do a lot of things in XP. Start there. For the user who is using AO-hell, give her admin privileges, put an icon in her Start menu, then take the admin privvies away. She can run it if she can get to the icon but that's about it. Same goes for the other app.

would putting the two icons in her start menu, putting her as a limited user, and then using group editor to make it so she cant use the start menu be the same thing?

i just set user policy to not allow downloads from ie and to disable add remove under control panals
