Yeah that whole Staples thing really sucks. I tried to order all of those things, but their system is lagging, and by the time they figured out they didn't have the keyboard and mouse in stock, it had been over a day and a half of me waiting. They opted to just send me the office supplies and attache case for free, which I really can't complain about, although I really really want the keyboard. Argh.

1) WIN2K. installed over WinNT, NTSF... all fine until final startup. freezed up like there was no tomorrow.... then i thought, "let's wipe it out and do it on Fat32!"... same bugger problem. regressing to Win98... grrrr... gettin' all excited about win2k too...


2) so here i am alllll happy about upgrading my ancient thing (P2-233) up to a half-way decent machine (P3-533b... only $259 @ fry's)... click, click, click... everything's all in and ready to go. fire it up. followed all the directions. looks like it's gonna do fine. and then it hangs like i've got another 200 years in my life... after almost 15 minutes, win98 finishes booting... hafta call tech support... grrrrRRR!

dude since you took out your primary partition ( http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif that sucks http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif )I found that if you try to install win2000 with existing os anywhere, im talking anywhere another hard drive it actually searches and grabs the registry entries and f's everything up. I would install win2000 clean and select dual boot then install 98 after if you want on another hdd.

don't you know it, but driving to the mountains can be so tedious even if you drive fast on those narrow winding roads.

don't get me wrong, the cold can be bad. my family used to live in chicago, and we have a picture of the four of us in front of a iced lighthouse at lake michigan. the wind was so bad that it sprayed water on the freezing metal.
